Top 10 Questions to Ask on Your Venue Viewing

  1. Is my preferred season or month available—and how does pricing vary?
At Kinclune, we offer seasonal pricing to give couples flexibility and great-value options. If you have a fixed date in mind, we’ll confirm availability and pricing straight away—so you can plan with confidence
  2. What does it cost to get married at Kinclune and what’s included?
We share guide prices for weddings of different sizes on our Wedding Prices page, including small weddings, twilight options and full‑weekend hire. At Kinclune, your hire covers exclusive use of our venue, oak furniture, professional sound systems, festoon and fairy lighting, guest facilities, VAT, and much more. Any optional add-ons will be clearly outlined before you book.
  3. How does catering work at Kinclune?
We work with a small group of recommended catering partners who know Kinclune well and offer a range of menu styles. Find out more about our Catering Partners.
  4. How do bar and drinks work at Kinclune?
All alcohol at Kinclune is supplied and managed by us. This allows us to ensure a smooth, well-run service throughout your day, with no corkage or hidden fees. You can choose from two simple options:
Option 1 – All Day Bar
A fully hosted bar from guest arrival through to the evening. Drinks are available throughout the day and evening, with your bar tab settled by you.
Option 2 – Reception and Table Drinks + Evening Bar
You provide your reception drinks and table wine through us (we’ll help you select and advise quantities). The evening then runs as a cash and card bar for your guests.
We’re always happy to guide you on drink choices, quantities and budgets. Final bar pricing is confirmed closer to your wedding date (typically around 6 months prior).
  5. Where can we save without compromise?
Popular savings include using our rustic furniture without linens, focusing florals where they’ll make the biggest impact, pair classic plated courses with generous family-style dishes, and DIY décor on your exclusive-use Friday set-up slot.
  6. Can guests contribute to accommodation costs?
Yes—many couples ask guests to chip in. We’ll provide a polite guest letter, take payments on your behalf, and deduct contributions from your balance (so there’s no awkwardness).
  7. What’s the real capacity for each part of the day?
Up to 120 guests across ceremony, dinner and dancing. We’ll walk you through seating plans and flow between all three spaces.
  8. How can we include pets and personal touches?
We love well-behaved animals at Kinclune and will advise safe areas and photo-moments for your four-legged (or feathered!) VIPs.
  9. What about access and comfort for older or less mobile guests?
The steading venue is wheelchair accessible, with level access throughout and accessible toilet facilities. Our steading cottages are single-level and designed with ease of access in mind. We’ll guide you on parking, access routes, seating plans and quiet zones to keep every guest comfortable. Please get in touch to discuss any specific requirements.
  10. How does accommodation and next-day hosting work?
At Kinclune, we can sleep 28 guests on-site across Kinclune House, Grieve’s Farmhouse, Curlew Cottage and Kestrel Cottage. We can also point you to 100+ nearby beds, plus taxis and coach options. To extend your celebration, you’re welcome to use The Arches ceremony space and courtyard again for a relaxed Sunday gathering (by arrangement).
