Emily & Josh’s April Wedding Weekend in the Angus Glens
Emily & Josh celebrated their wedding with our signature three‑night Full Estate Wedding Package at Kinclune House & Estate — a luxury exclusive‑use Scottish wedding venue in the Angus Glens with on‑site accommodation, beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, and time to properly celebrate with family and friends in the Scottish countryside.
With soft spring florals, live string music and elegant styling, their celebration had a wonderfully romantic Bridgerton‑style feel.

Capturing the Day at Kinclune
Their wedding day was captured by Burfly in atmospheric photography and film. Gill and Alan’s work is full of emotion — from the bridal preparations in Kinclune House to portraits with the ponies, the joyful bridal party moments and the energy of the evening reception in The Granary. You can read Burfly’s blog here: Emily and Josh Kinclune House – Scotland Wedding Photographer.
Burfly wrote this about Emily & Josh’s day at Kinclune:
“Such a lovely day with Emily and Josh at Kinclune House & Estate — our first time there, and what a beautiful venue it is. Nestled in the countryside not too far from us, it has that perfect mix of elegance and warmth.”
Friday: A Relaxed Welcome Gathering on the Lawn
The celebrations began on Friday evening with a relaxed lawn gathering in glorious sunshine. Guests enjoyed woodfired pizza from Fallones, one of our catering partners, alongside drinks and panoramic views across the Vale of Strathmore — the perfect start to a wedding weekend in Scotland.
Saturday Morning: Getting Ready at Kinclune House
On Saturday morning, Emily and her bridal party got ready in the master suite at Kinclune House, with elegant hair by Simone Saint and soft glam make‑up by Natalie Fearnley. With breathtaking views and generous space to spend the morning together, Kinclune House offers a calm, luxurious setting to prepare for the day as part of a Kinclune Estate wedding.

A Spring Ceremony in The Arches
The ceremony took place in The Arches, beautifully styled with romantic spring florals by Fiona Hay and accompanied by live music from Nova Quartet. A particularly personal touch was that Gareth from the quartet had once been Josh’s double bass teacher — a detail that made the moment even more special.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed confetti, drinks and canapés in the sheltered courtyard with the firepits lit, while the Kinclune Team transformed The Arches into a warm, relaxed reception space for everyone to gradually move indoors.

Dinner, Cake and Evening Celebrations in The Granary
Dinner was served in The Granary by Platter & Pop beneath soft candlelight and spring flowers. Emily’s beautiful three‑tier wedding cake — decorated with delicate lace detailing and fresh flowers — was lovingly made by her Auntie Cathy.
Later, The Granary was transformed into a lively bar and dance floor with Cloud9, a versatile Scottish wedding band who brought fantastic energy and atmosphere to the evening celebrations.

A Relaxed Sunday on the Estate
The couple’s families enjoyed a peaceful Sunday together on the estate before a slow Monday departure at noon — one of the things couples tell us they value most about choosing a full wedding weekend in the Angus Glens.
Kind Words From the Couple
Emily later shared this lovely 5‑star review:
“We got married at Kinclune House in April, and had the most wonderful weekend. The setting is beautiful, and the staff were so friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout. We loved being able to have our bridal party stay on site the whole weekend to really make the most of the celebrations. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the venue, surroundings and atmosphere. Thank you for helping make our day so special!”
Emily & Josh, it was an absolute pleasure hosting you and your family and friends. We wish you every happiness in your married life.
