Our homebred Scottish native Highland Pony stallion, Fandango na Dailach, has qualified for the prestigious Horse of the Year Show 2023 (HOYS). Held at the NEC in Birmingham from 6th-8th October, this is one of the biggest shows of the year for the equestrian world.
Fandango was shown successfully in-hand as a youngster winning the youngstock championship at NPS Malvern in 2019. He went on to win the Overall Highland Pony Champion of the Royal Highland Show in 2022. This is his first season out in the ridden arena and he qualified for HOYS in one of his first open ridden classes at the National Pony Society Summer Championships in Malvern.
To say we’re delighted is an understatement. We have competed at HOYS a few times now with Virginia previously winning the HOYS Ridden Heavy Horse Championship with her Clydesdale, Kinclune Danny Boy. Wish us luck with Fandango!
