Real Weddings: Small Daytime Wedding & Big Evening Celebration at Kinclune

2nd July 2026

Kayleigh & David’s June Wedding Weekend in the Angus Glens, Scotland

“Absolutely flawless venue! From the main house to the cottages, the barn, the courtyard, and of course the breathtaking view, every part of it was perfect. We honestly wish the weekend could have lasted forever.”

When a couple sends you feedback like that after their wedding, you know you’ve been part of something special, and Kayleigh and David’s Kinclune wedding weekend was every bit as special as their words suggest.

Kayleigh and David’s June wedding weekend at Kinclune House & Estate was one of our favourite celebrations so far. Not because it was the biggest wedding we’ve hosted, but because it perfectly demonstrated that bigger isn’t always better.

Instead of following a traditional format, they chose a small, intimate daytime wedding with their closest family and friends, followed by a much larger evening celebration. The result was relaxed, personal, joyful and, quite honestly, the perfect balance.

It’s a wedding format we’re becoming increasingly enthusiastic about at Kinclune because it allows couples to enjoy meaningful time with the people closest to them, while still celebrating with a wider circle of family and friends later in the day. For couples searching for an Angus wedding venue that offers flexibility, privacy and space to celebrate all weekend, it’s a beautiful option.

An Intimate Ceremony Filled With Personality

One of the things we loved most about Kayleigh and David’s wedding was how completely personal it felt. Their nieces stole hearts as flower girls, while The Arches at Kinclune Steading felt warm, welcoming and perfectly proportioned for an intimate gathering. Rather than feeling too large for a smaller guest list, the room comfortably accommodated the ceremony while still leaving space for gifts, cards and dessert displays.

The beautiful floral styling by Avec Amour Flowers provided a stunning backdrop, including a vibrant half‑moon floral installation that became one of the visual highlights of the day. Every detail felt thoughtfully chosen and authentically them.

We were delighted that so many of our recommended suppliers helped bring their vision to life. Platter and Pop provided the catering, Sam Pitt Photography captured the day beautifully, Avec Amour Flowers created the floral displays and DJ Seven ensured the evening celebration in The Granary was every bit as energetic as the couple had hoped.

As Kayleigh later wrote:
“Everyone who worked there was so lovely, welcoming and organised. They were incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, especially with recommending fantastic vendors for our wedding day.”

And as the newlyweds themselves concluded:
“We would recommend this venue to any couple without hesitation.”

For us, there is no greater compliment.

A Wedding Weekend to Remember

The combination of an intimate daytime ceremony, a joyful evening celebration, beautiful styling, fantastic suppliers and a relaxed wedding weekend atmosphere made Kayleigh and David’s celebration one we’ll remember fondly for many years to come. With exclusive use of the estate, their guests were able to explore the grounds, enjoy the accommodation and experience the Angus Glens together — something that made the whole weekend feel even more special.
